ABSTRACT:
The aim of the present work explained about the design and fabrication of liquid silicone rubber mobile phone cover or pouch. Liquid silicone rubber is a form of synthetic rubber that is used in a wide range of products including automotive applications, food storage products, clothing, footwear, electronics, medical devices and implants. Its elasticity and cushioning properties have also made a popular material in the manufacture of mobile phone pouch. The manufacturing process of liquid silicone rubber is pretty similar to plastic, albeit. A mold is usually used to manufacture liquid silicone mobile phone pouch. In this method, the silicone material is placed in an open mold cavity. The mold is then closed and pressure is applied until the material is shaped into the desired design. Liquid silicone rubber pouch are put under a lot of pressure for a long duration in the mold. The newly shaped liquid silicone rubber is removed from the mold it is trimmed and developed according to the design of mold.
