ABSTRACT:
The intention of this review is to highlight the effectiveness of edutainment techniques in mathematics teaching learning process. Research findings emphasize use of edutainment techniques as a creative, relevant and lasting way of teaching mathematics, the content provided is relevant and meaningful too, and as a result makes the learning more lasting and enjoyable. The research indicates that students who like games find it earlier to understand Mathematics through games. The study shows that use of edutainment techniques results in productive learning and improves the competencies of the learner. These are creative ways of learning which has lasting impacts. These also helps learner to come up with their experiences connected with the learning. Writing poetry helps learner to express their personal experiences to come out in the form of poetry which reflects their extent of learning. Miming comes into picture when we think of universal human abilities. This survey provides a useful insight for future research in the learning edutainment techniques.
